The purpose of this classic-vintage site is to encourage those interested in enjoying and preserving vintage lightweight "racing" style bicycles of the period from the early 20th century until 1999. These are primarily steel, most often "lug built, not welded, injection molded, or glued. We are devoted to road and pista machines rather than mountain bikes, "middle weights", BMX, recumbent, and balloon-tired bikes. Those bikes have merit, but are not "on topic" for the Vintage Wheeler.

GREG LEMOND TEAM-GAN SHIMANO 105

GREG LEMOND (AMERICA FLYER)
Greg LeMond Italian Road Bike Frame, 50cm, GLX Acher Special Tubing By Ecxell. This is a very rare vintage Greg LeMond ~Team GAN~ frame . It was hand made by Silvano Bilato of the Bilato Brothers. His name, "Silv", is stamped under the brake bridge. The quality of workmanship and lug detail make it a work of art. The frame is in great condition. The paint job has dings and I have tried to show most of them in the photos. No rust bubbles anywhere. The chrome is inperfect shape. The bottom bracket threads have no rust and the threading is in perfect shape.
